Project Details .
Star Graph : Stellar Evolution is a visualization game based on different periods of star life and the faint change in starlight of Cepheids, Mira and Cataclysmic Variables. The learning visualizations are designed to four parts. One having a gameplay to tap the brightest phase of a CEPHEID variable assuming its period from the lightcurve, Visualizations of a MIRA Variable CHI-Cygni with a visualization of changes in the accretion disk of the white dwarf annihilating material from it's companion main sequence star. CEPHEID variable DELTA-CEPHEI was generated putting lightcurve value in the particle system.

Game Options :
Tapping gameplay will let the gamer know about the periodic phase of starlight in variables according to light curve data in a fun way.
We have studied resources found about variable stars in constellations. Then We Plotted constellation cepheius with cepheid variable Delta-Cephei . We have followed the light curve of delta cephei over 5.4 days period and magnitude of 4.3 to 3.6 .
We have studied changes in the accretion disk of a white dwarf CHI-CYGNI. We tried to show how a CATACLYSMIC VARIABLE Binary system emits in different light curve over time due to changes in outer layer of the accretion disc of CHI CYGNI.
We are designing an educative game as the next version of Star Graph. in Star Graph : Steller Evolution, Gamers will experience a simulated night sky with Variables, know the positions in the constellations, draw the constellation, and get a simulated view of the reason behind the variability. A tapping gameplay to spot the brightest magnitude of a cepheid variable in a periodic time interval will be later extended to detailed gameplay.

Hackathon Journey
Team MidDayDreams has been participating in the NASA Space Apps Challenge since 2016. Every challenge is exciting when facing new problems and to find it’s solution we go through an extraordinary learning curve. The challenge we usually face is the time provided to complete the project and present it. Every year around this time when the NASA Space Aps Challenge is held, we teammates put all other work aside for two days and work to hack on a new challenge. It is always a fun game & dope to us.
